Spence and Larry have been talking a lot. There has been sex too but mostly they have been talking. They are both upfront about wanting a relationship. Neither has much clue about long distance and so they agree to spend the week getting to know each other and then putting things on hold until summer.
“I doubt I’ll be with anyone else. Maybe my friends.” Spence says.
“I know. It’s just too much pressure after a week to agree to that. We will still talk.” Larry says.
“Right, a lot. Fuck I really like you.” Spence grins.
“Same. I don’t want any stress and bullshit though. We have three months this summer and then we’ll know.” Larry says.
“Right and we’ll both be working and it’ll be more real. Will your dad be okay with me living here? Are you okay with that?” Spence asks double checking.
“Dad will be delighted. I cannot wait. It’s less pressure too being here, like dad has a clearer a couple of days so we just have to pick up after ourselves and chip in with the cooking, not loads of chores to get het up over.” Larry says.
“Good because I am not domestic at all. If I can pay someone else to do it, I do. Cleaning, lawn mowing, cooking.” Spence grins.
“You’re rich right? Like I see you have fancy clothes and cologne and your hair products look super expensive. But you work during semester.” Larry says not sure how to articulate what he is asking.
“I am wealthy. I have a large trust fund and I own a huge beach house which is worth a lot, I let it out at a high rate for the summer months.” Spence says.
“So why all the working?” Larry asks wanting everything to be clear.
“Technically I volunteer. I’m just getting on with my career before I graduate. Coaching is my passion, I love it and I want to be at a level of skill and experience that means I can get a job coaching when I graduate. I’m lucky to have a private income that means salary will never stop me taking a job, coaching doesn’t make people rich. Not for most coaches anyway.” Spence says.
“That’s cool. So you don’t have to be super busy, you want to be. I really admire you. Wish I knew for sure what I wanted to do. I don’t want to physically farm but Tad doesn’t want to let me just do the admin side of things here, which is what I would love.” Larry sighs.
“Isn’t it your dad’s choice? I mean your dad is pretty young, couldn’t you start taking over those things now?” Spence asks.
“It would fuck off Tad.” Larry says.
“But it might help your dad out, he’d get to stop paying someone else.” Spence says.
“I guess. I’ve been working for my uncle Wilson a bit, helping him with that side of things. His wife usually does it but with the baby she hasn’t as much time.” Larry says.
“That’s a start. You don’t have to know now, you’re only a sophomore in college.” Spence says.
“I guess. Just impatient.” Larry says.
“You’re always in a race with Tad, he gets first pick and you’re worried that he wants what you want.” Spence says.
“Exactly. If the ice-cream makes money and the soup then I guess I can work for Blue, I’d be good working with all the farmers on the ordering, working with them to produce what we need.” Larry says.
“So you have ideas.” Spence grins, happy that Larry has ambition if not direction.
“I do, and most of them involve your ass. Gimme, gimme.” Larry says grabbing at Spence who is only too happy to be grabbed.
It’s quick, rough and Spence loves it. Larry can get him ready in no time. They’ve not done anything particularly kinky yet. Larry will choke him a little and deliberately not take much care which sends Spence wild. He feels so submissive to Larry, without him saying anything. Larry totally owns his ass already. Spence craves Larry’s thick dick all the time.
“I have to get to work.” Spence says yawning.
“Once more.” Larry says, it isn’t a question.
Spence gets to the gym still feeling Larry inside him. He has to put it out of his mind or he won’t last a day here.
On Tuesday Andy is excited to be going to see Arnolds farm with Blue. They go up early and Blue heads to work while Andy gets shown round and put to work. Blue and Ollie are working on the peanut butter chocolate recipe. Nick and Ella are in and out all day asking about things and giving their progress, Jett joins them in the afternoon, he isn’t on break until the following week. He and Ella are taking a last minute trip to Cabo so things must be going well.
Blue is happy to have something to take his mind off Will’s surgery
Andy is exhausted at the end of the day after his early start and wants to curl up by the fire and eat treats. Blue is more than happy to take care of him. He fills up a bowl of the days sample ice-cream, a cookie and some whipped cream.
“If Will doesn’t propose soon, I am stealing you.” Andy says as Blue hands him a hot chocolate.
“I love having you back in my life.” Blue says.
“I can’t say sorry enough times. I missed you so much.” Andy says.
“You don’t need to go on, its in the past now. How was today?” Blue asks.
“Good. Not for me but rounded out my education a bit. Arnold is up for us and Larry getting on with the cheese this summer. He’s totally about the long game.” Andy says.
“I kinda like the idea. You best chat with Larry and come up with a plan.” Blue says.
“Did Will’s surgery go okay?” Andy asks.
“I don’t know. I guess he can’t get to his phone. I should be there.” Blue sighs.
“You have a life too. If he wanted you there he would have had it done closer.” Andy says.
“Sounds like you don’t like him.” Blue says.
“I’m just worried that you don’t get a lot out of your relationship. I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I get that you have a dream future with him but you had one with Gervais too. At least with Gervais you were getting great sex until he dumped you.” Andy says.
“You need something else to occupy your thoughts. Got a game plan for Tad?” Blue asks.
“Nah. I know I usually jump in dick first without thinking. I just figure I should hold off, don’t want to fuck anything up with my job with Mike.” Andy says.
“Your balls must be like watermelons.” Blue says.
“Yup. Gervais will sort me out later.” Andy says looking hard at Blue for a reaction.
“I best go make you a bed.” Blue says.
“I can do it. Blue are you really okay about me and Gervais fooling around?” Andy asks.
“Are you really okay with Spence and Larry?” Blue asks.
“Can you take a day off tomorrow? You’ve been working too much.” Andy asks.
“Gervais and Robin can show you round the city if you want some fun.” Blue says.
“Take a day off and come with us.” Andy says.
“Okay. I guess I can do that. Need another bowl?” Blue asks.
“Always. I love this ice-cream, this is the one.” Andy grins.
Robin and Gervais arrive back with Tad, they’ve bought things to decorate a room for Ocean and brought dinner back with them.
Will finally calls during dinner, everything went okay, he’s been sleeping. Blue goes back to the kitchen far less tense.
“I’m not going to have sex with you here, it’s weird.” Gervais says to Andy outside after dinner.
“Why not? We’ve been having fun helping each other out.” Andy asks.
“I can say no without justification.” Gervais says.
“You see yourself married to him and living here?” Andy asks.
“I know that won’t happen. He has Will now.” Gervais says.
“But you hate him thinking about us being together.” Andy says.
“I’m sorry. Don’t you? Hell you and Spence not getting back together must have put Blue back to the top of your list.” Gervais says.
“I fucked any chance of that fucking Chris, worse than you I knew what I was doing.” Andy says.
“You don’t think Will is the one for Blue?” Gervais asks.
“I don’t know. Blue has gone in too fast again and hat never works out.” Andy says.
“Will loves him.” Gervais says and Andy stares into space trying to piece together if he is jealous or just concerned for Blue.
The four guys have a fun morning, they sleep late, go bowling and to a diner for lunch. Over lunch Blue gets a lot of weird looks and as they are leaving they see his face on the front of a stack of student papers, with the headline ‘The real Blue’.
“Shit.” Gervais says.
They all grab a copy and head home disappointed that the triplet thing has spoiled the day.
“It isn’t so bad.” Andy says after reading it.
“How would you have felt if it had been you? What if after your car crash profiles of you had been everywhere. Tv shows about your family?” Blue asks agitated.
“I would have hated it, you know that. I just meant it doesn’t give any real info, just about your work here.” Andy says.
“I know it’s just a student paper but it’s online and anyone searching on me will find it and know where I live. That includes Chris, Paul and their stupid fucking magazine people.” Blue says.
“You’re not that interesting.” Robin says hoping he can calm Blue down but feeling desperately concerned that he’ll up and run again.
“I know that. I’m just trying to live my life. I wish I’d never found out about them.” Blue sighs.
They are interrupted by a knock at the door which makes them all jump, it’s Ella and Jett.
“I swear I had nothing to do with it.” Jett says.
“Oh fuck off Jett.” Blue says.
“Blue! He didn’t write it.” Ella says.
“He knew it was happening he works at the paper and he didn’t give me a heads up. We only found out by accident. If Andy hadn’t convinced me to take a day off I wouldn’t have seen. How did they get all the information on the businesses?” Blue asks.
“It’s no secret you’re the soup guy. The girl who wrote it saw you at the market at pieced it together.” Jett says.
“So you did know.” Gervais says.
“I called her and asked.” Jett says.
“It is nice about the ice-cream.” Ella says.
“It was.” Blue says with a small grin.
“Maybe no one will see it.” Ella says.
“Why didn’t the writer speak to me?” Blue asks.
“I didn’t ask.” Jett says.
“Well you should tell your editor they missed out and had they asked I’d have agreed to an interview.” Blue says with a grin.
“I’m not going to lie and fuck her over.” Jett says.
“Then fuck off, you’ve only come here to make sure you don’t get fired.” Gervais says.
“Daddy wouldn’t fire him.” Ella says.
“But if Blue refuses to work with him he won’t be any good.” Robin says.
“And boy can Blue hold a grudge.” Andy says.
“I am here and I’m not threatening Jett’s job or blackmailing him. Just never talk about my family or personal life around Jett.” Blue says.
The rest of the visit is subdued. Blue is back in his funk, working and mostly ignoring his friends as if he can’t trust anyone.
On Saturday Clara arrives back, without Bea to Blue’s relief.
“Where is Bea? And Willow?” Blue asks, he’d have liked to have seen Willow.
“Spence has very kindly agreed to let Bea have a room in his house. She has to behave, but I think she will.” Clara says.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Blue asks Spence.
“You’re a mess and I didn’t want to lose you. Bea can’t share a dorm with Chris and I always feel I owe your mom for the way she helped Andy and Katelyn. Birch is okay with it. He and Willow are going to help her move in tomorrow.” Spence says.
“I don’t want her to be homeless.” Blue says.
“Well she better stay out of my way. I can’t believe you didn’t tell me.” Andy says.
“I’m sorry.” Spence says.
“You don’t owe me anything. I’ve just enjoyed cooking with you and Birch. Back to being a spare part.” Andy says and Spence kicks himself for forgetting the cooking.
“You can cook with us.” Gervais says and Andy smiles.
“What are your plans momma?” Blue asks.
“I’ll be here for a week. Catch up and get things moving, then Willow and I will travel home together. I’ll be doing what I can from there and visit once a month or so.” Clara says.
“That sounds good. How was your trip?” Andy asks.
“I loved it. Truly loved it and I hope it gave Bea some perspective. I’m thinking that once Willow has everything under control I might take another trip over the summer.” Clara says.
“About time.” Blue says with a grin.
“Take Katelyn and Roe. If you can wait until after our Hawaii trip. Or join us.” Andy says.
“I think we should all be here for the parlor opening, including Katelyn. I’m sure Abby or Gladys will find somewhere for us to stay. I regret not taking Blue travelling as a teen, Katelyn should get out and see the world, it will help her when she has to make the big choices.” Clara says.
“That is what I was thinking.” Andy says with a grin.
Saturday morning the guys get ready to leave. Tad and Larry come over to say goodbye.
“I don’t want to put things on hold.” Larry says to Spence.
“Okay.” Spence grins feeling like he’s won the lotto.
“Yeah?” Larry asks.
“Yeah. I am so lucky to have found you.” Spence says.
“I feel the same.” Larry grins and they kiss and hug.
“Sorry I was a bit shit. I’m not in the best place.” Blue says.
“That’s what we get for gatecrashing.” Robin says.
“Yeah, you suck. Thanks for being here, it did mean a lot.” Blue says.
“Call us any time. Maybe come for a weekend.” Gervais suggests.
“It’ll be summer soon.” Blue grins.
