        Been catching up on this years season of MKR (only finished a few weeks ago) and current Masterchef season anyone you really hate in Masterchef so far…. Maybe not his fault but the way the judges go over the top with Callan is starting to annoy me lol

                    4. Well travelling about I managed to finish the final instant restaurant and watch first part of semi final, so close. I was so please the weird sibs went out after their attitude. If they’d not been so rude they’d probably have gone through as everyone was scoring to compensate for their attitude, always fun when that happens.

Pia made that great Pasta and then Eloise dropped the ball in regards to sauce and by time they realised had to do a rush job and Jess doing guesswork with sponge….. Baking has exact measurements no guesswork lol

                    11. Muttonchops yeah hate them some episodes they use things like lemon juice from bottle, chilli paste or garlic from jars etc…. Cook something simple for an hour challenge I find them lazy cooks while Ana and Jordan cook everything and extend themselves

                      On MKR the correct teams are in sudden Death I mean overcooked meat is horrible…. I think the dish Muttonchops did that challenge was one of their best that season (was that the challenge where they did the salmon)

                    36. yep close to being back to Normal…. I didn’t like Season 5 of Masterchef but one episode I liked was the boot camp at Maggies farm where she taught them to debone a chicken so she knows what she is talking about and has that nurturing thing about her also.

My fave us masterchef/Hell’s Kitchen episodes are when Gordon butchers a salmon perfectly in no time flat. Really shows that an apprenticeship is a great idea for chefs and not jump starting like some of the contestants

                    38. Yes thats the one…. Usually what Masterchef does these days is in week of a celebrity chef week ie Nigela Week, Marco Week, Heston week in the past after the team elimination episode they have a masterclass where they show contestants cooking techniques etc.

                      The contestants don’t go straight to chef usually the winner or runners up is given opportunity to work in the kitchen if one of the Chefs who featured that season.

                    167. That Round 1 was very high scoring with many teams scoring 70s or 80s from memory and the cops at 65 or so were put into Redemption round as a result.

                      At least the horrible teams never got another shot like Cougar and Health Fanatics lol

                    169. This season had no redemption round they did a change up ie bottom two teams from each Instant Restaurant Round went to Kitchen HQ for a Sudden Death cook-off

                    171. also killed off the idea of Strategic scoring since bottom team could not be eliminated via harsh guest team scoring….. worse case scenario you get in bottom 2 and cook for guest judges to stay in competition….. I found it more fair this season.

                    227. The pressure test for last apron looks difficult (Ana Povalvu ie the punk chef) but will set the winner up for the competition I feel as last few seasons the winner of that cook usually goes decently well.

      2. Everyone together at first, then usually two colour teams selected week by week go at it, followed by a pressure cooker test for the losing team to see who gets booted out.

          1. They started this season out with packages sent to 24 candidates. They had 20 minutes to grab whatever they could from wherever they were (work, home, borrowing from neighbors kitchen, etc.) to gather ingredients to cook the best rice entree. Interesting start to pare down to 12 in the first episode.
